Basic characteristics of the festival
International Folklore Festival (IFF) Vsetin krpec is directed as biennale of the folklore culture, it is taking place once in two years. It is an international festival and it has show/display character.
It has regularly 5 to 8 performing ensembles from European and other countries. The organizers try to show to the demanding audience of Vsetin and surrounding area different foreign folklore cultures, but they also invite ensembles from Czech and Moravia.
Ensembles of other cultural minorities have a chance to present their traditional culture.
