ROZNOV VALASKA 12^th - 14^th May,2009, Roznov pod Radhostem 

The international military folk festival “The Roznov Valaska” is held in the Wallachian open air museum in Roznov pod Radhostem. It is difficult to imagine a more appropriate setting than the charming backdrop of Wallachian museum folk exhibits. The inspired dramaturgy of the festival, complete with skirmishes between historical swordsmen and antique and current uniforms, attracts thousands of visitors every year. Roznov pod Radhostem was founded in the mid 13^th century. It is a popular tourist destination due to its pleasant climatic conditions and beautiful surroundings. The Wallachian open air museum, established in 1925 by the Jaronek brothers, is of particular interest. There is also nearby Radhost hill with a statue of the god Radegast and Pustevny with its beautiful structures by Milan Jurkovic, among others. (I) www.roznov.cz
