6th International Folklore Festival “Prague Fair”

International Folklore Festival “Prague Fair” is one of the Czech festivals with the largest audiences and the most variegated mosaic of participaitng ensembles. During the six festival days it presents groups from the whole of the Czech Republic and from different parts of Europe and the world. Today it is visited not only by curious tourists who chance to hear that something is going on nearby, but also by Prague citizens. They are attracted not just by the program but also by the handicraft stalls and by the beer and wine stalls and a variety of gastronomic specialities.
It is probably not necessary to mention the monuments and sights of the historical center of Prague. Ovocný trh (the Fruit Market), where the festival takes place, is close to the Old Town Square, Wenceslas Square, the Powder Tower and Gate, or the Municipal House.
