The first historical mention of Kunovice, a strategic place at the crossing of several long-distance roads, dates back to 1196. Its most important cultural monument is St Peter and Paul church. Another historical monument is the former manor of the Princes od Liechtenstein, which forms a complex of late Renaissance buldings in the center of the town.
