Indian Summer,10th - 12th September 2010, Valasske Mezirici
This festival was first held in 1993. At that time it was merely a two day festival but since 2002 it has been a five day event. During the first two days in Valasske Mezirici there are school concerts, on the third and fifth days the concerts and shows take place in neighbouring villages and towns, specifically Bystricka and Kelce. On Saturday, the fourth day, the festival belongs to Valasske Mezirici. In the morning there is a procession through the town with displays and music, in the afternoon performances by children's groups and in the afternoon by the adult groups. As part of the festival there will be a Saturday morning traditional craft fair in the Valasske Mezirici town square.
The city of Valaske Mezirici lies on the delta of two rivers – Vsetin and Roznov Becva river. The prominent feature of the city is Zerotin Castle. (i) www.valasskemezirici.cz
