26th Folk Musicians´ Days
27 and 28 November 2009, Břeclav
This is a review of the adult folk music groups from the several subregions of the Slovácko ethnographic region. The author of the idea was Jožka Kobzík, M. D., first violinist and artistic director of the Břeclavan Folklore ensemble. The review was meant to be a kind of a winter equivalent of the encounters of musicians and their frequent playing together at the Strážnice festival. The event begins on Friday evening with dulcimer and other bands from the Podluží ethnographic subregion, but also with complete ensembles including dancers and singers. The Saturday evening concert presents bands from the whole Slovácko region, which includes the subreigons of Podluží, Hanácké Slovácko, Dolňácko, Horňácko, Kopanice, and Zálesí. The concert is followed by a get-together at the dulcimer which goes on into the wee hours.
