IFF “F-Scene”
12th International Folklore Festival “F-Scene”
25 June to 25 July 2009, Brno
This festival gives the inhabitants and visitors of Brno an opportunity to get acquainted with the variety and beauty of Czech, Moravian, Silesian, and Slovakian folklore, as well as with the folk traditions of other countries. The F-Scene (i. e. Folklore Scene) project was created as an integral part of a complex program called Brno Cultural Summer. It is carried out in the form of five long weekends, with one folklore ensemble per weekend. The gala opening show takes place in the court of the Špilberk castle, while or the other performances are held in the courtyard of the Old Town Hall in the historical center of Brno. The main organizer of the festival is the Jánošík Folklore Association from Brno.
