The township of Dolní Čermná lies in the deep vale of the Čermenka brook in the foothills of Orlické hory (the Eagle Mountains). In the upper part of the village there is a large pond from the 15th century. The dominant sight of the place is St George´s church, towering on a rock above the square. The church was been first mentioned as a wooden structure at the beginning of the 13th century. In the 16th - 17th centuries it was rebuilt into its present shape.
